Building of heat exchangers
These are devices where energy in the form of heat is exchanged between two fluids in movement, separated by an alloy or other special alloy partition. Industrial applications include hot sanitary water generators, U-tube or plate heat exchangers.

U-tube heat exchangers
A heat exchanger with a bundle of U-tubes is made up of a number of parallel U-bend tubes expanded into a tube sheet together with the diaphragms.
The tubes, normally with a diameter between 12 and 30 mm, can be placed in various arrangements in order to made cleaning of the outer surface easier. The tubes are fixed to the tube sheet by expanding the tube ends and, in some cases where requested, can be expanded and then welded.
